The O'Connor Hospital Vascular Center is focused on quality patient care, research, and teaching. Our Endovascular program emphasizes early detection, minimally invasive procedures when possible, and prevention, with positive patient outcomes. Our new, state-of-the-art Endovascular Suite, the only one of its kind in the area, will utilize cutting edge technology with a flat panel detector for endovascular procedures and anesthesia presence for safe patient monitoring.

Specialists in vascular and endovascular surgery and interventional radiology work in tandem to diagnose and treat virtually all vascular conditions. Some of the conditions currently being treated within our endovascular program include peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, renal artery disease, and venous insufficiency. Non-invasive treatments for these types of conditions often utilize balloon angioplasty and stenting, abdominal aortic stent grafts, and carotid stents. Open vascular procedures used to treat these conditions include bypasses with vein and synthetic grafts, open repairs of aneurysms, and carotid artery repairs. The interventional and surgical options available would be discussed by your vascular surgeon and/or interventional radiologist and the best course of treatment would be selected.

A new state-of-the-art Endovascular Suite and Vascular Center is being developed at O'Connor Hospital over the next two to three years. The Vascular Center will focus on quality patient care, research, and teaching. Currently, O'Connor Hospital's endovascular program emphasizes early detection, minimally invasive procedures when possible, and prevention, with the high rate of limb salvage and positive patient outcomes. The Endovascular Suite will utilize new state-of-the-art technology with a flat panel detector for endovascular procedures and anesthesia presence for safe patient monitoring.

O'Connor was recognized in 2003 by Money Magazine as one of the top five hospitals in the western United States for patients in need of peripheral vascular interventional procedures such as angioplasty and other interventions. Drs. Peter Schubart, Roger Hayashi, and David Chang were listed as top doctors for these procedures.

The creation of O'Connor Hospital's Vascular Center and Endovascular Suite will bring together state-of-the-art technology and a complete evaluation of the patient to provide quality care and treatment of vascular disease, expanding our current endovascular program.
