O'Connor Hospital has been providing high-quality healthcare to residents in Santa Clara Valley for more than 100 years. Since 1952, the O'Connor volunteers have been part of this outstanding tradition, bringing comfort and care to patients, families, and loved ones. O’Connor volunteers have donated over 2 million hours of service since 1952.

Volunteers work in a variety of areas in the hospital and clinic setting including the hospital gift shop. Volunteers support the Daughters of Charity mission by providing exceptionally friendly service to enhance the care we provide. They are interviewed to determine suitability for our program. There is a background check (required for adults only), medical clearance process, orientation and training. We do require a minimum of a six-month commitment.

Currently we have very limited openings in our adult volunteer program.  We are not accepting applications for Junior Volunteers (high school students) at this time.  If you would like to fill out an application, we will contact you if an opening becomes available that matches your availability and interest.  The volunteer application can be returned to:  O’Connor Hospital, Volunteer Services Department, 2105 Forest Avenue, San Jose, CA  95128.

Chaplain Services has openings in a variety of programs for those interested in holistic ministry to patients.
